Storm | 50's Inspired Portrait

This shoot was awesome all around. First of all, you have to be pretty cool with a name like Storm. Second, the vintage dress she chose to wear is one of the most gorgeous dresses I have seen in a long time! I think I died a little when I saw her walk up. Everything about it was perfect, from the sweetheart neckline and black lace to the cinched waistline. Oh and it fit her like a glove too!

Storm's friend Lauren contacted me about doing a little shoot for her 50's themed bridal shower. They bought the dress for the party and thought it'd be cute to display a few photos of her on the tables. They had me at "vintage".

There is just something about black lace and cotton that seems so perfect together! I'm trying to take advantage of the lovely cotton season! That is one thing I love about living in the south!

Storm had never had portraits taken before, but she was such a natural in front of the camera. I just showed her a few poses and she fell into it like a little model! She was a trouper even thought it was incredibly humid and there were tons of gnats! Oh and Storm is giving some of these photos to her fiance as a wedding gift! How sweet is that?

PS: I just tea dyed a lace table cloth. I can't wait for you guys to see what I'm doing with it next weekend! Oh the cuteness!

Love your photos. I especially love the settings, the beach and that cabin or house.

Jennifer,
Was this at Heritage Village? If not, it really reminds me of it. these photos, especially the ones in the cotton field, made me miss Graceville. My new home is great, but I MISS the cotton fields.
